Write ten new first lines for your WIP. Not variations on what you have. Brand new.
Ideally, each one should raise a question, introduce a hint of conflict, and grab the reader’s attention. Make at least one character based, one setting based, one thematic/symbolic, and one dialog.
Like any of ’em better than what you’ve already got? Then go with it and let it change your first paragraph/scene/chapter!
